To start with, drug abuse is a leading cause of homicides worldwide. Drug abusers tend to steal cash and other valuables to get money to cater for their drug needs. Due to impaired judgment, drug addicts tend to be impatient, arrogant and very violent; they fight for nothing and are big trouble makers in the society.The cause of drug abuse is not fully known but likely include genetic predisposition, co-occurring conditions and environmental circumstances. Drug use and experimentation is common in pre-adolescents and adolescents, but only a small percentage of those users will go on to abuse drugs.The Child Protection Unit reports that drug use, combined with the parent’s history of abuse as children, is resulting in caseloads comprised of seriously dysfunctional families. Parents’ lack of knowledge of childhood development may result in unreasonable or unrealistic expectations.
Prolonged drug dependence interferes with just about every organ in the human body, and while different drugs have different damaging effects, these are some of the common conditions substance abuse can cause: Damaged immune system, which increases susceptibility to infection Cardiovascular conditions, including heart attacks and collapsed veins.According to the research conducted, drug and alcohol abuse have a direct correlation between these emerging domestic violence issues. The research findings indicated that, domestic violence is caused by high rates of drug and alcohol abuse used by these violent and arrogant people.
Drug abuse, also called substance abuse or chemical abuse is a disorder that is characterized by a destructive pattern of using substance that leads to significant problems or distress. Teens are increasingly engaging in prescription drug abuse. It leads to significant problems that use of substance can cause for the sufferer, either socially.
